A luscious "garden"

Nestling on one side of the park, the Brasserie Le Jardin is the beating heart of Les Crayères. Its setting, ambiance, and cuisine rewarded by a "Bib Gourmand" draw an eclectic clientele.

Rather like a loft, a building in black and cream with a sumptuous terrace waits to be discovered in the Domain's wooded park. The Brasserie "Le Jardin" enlivens Les Crayères every day, for lunch and dinner, with a 3-course menu at 35 €. Which draws a non-resident clientele comprised of people from Reims, vintners, champagne producers, but also gourmet visitors, all welcomed, hosted and recognized by the Master of the House, Lucas Kleinclauss.

Inside, the decor in the dining-room, laid out around an open kitchen, revisits the industrial style in casual-chic mode, with red brick walls, metal ceiling lights, and suedette bench seats in terra-cotta and pistachio. On the menu, the chef proposes spontaneous, generous and gourmet cuisine giving precedence to local and seasonal produce. Fresh tartar of Saint-Jacques scallops, oven-baked fillet of sea bream with leaks and champagne sauce, shoulder of lamb with Soissons beans, all set your mouth watering. The same goes for the desserts such as shortbread with apple, "Tarte Tatin" and "Banoffee" flambéed with "Marc de Champagne". All accompanied by precise, appropriate pairings proposed by Head Sommelier Martin Jean and his assistant in the Brasserie, Mathieu Cré.

With the arrival of warm weather, Lucas Kleinclauss opens the shaded terrace which then becomes a "must" meeting-place for clients from Reims who come to benefit from a peaceful, natural setting at the heart of town.
