They all bear the name of a European empress, queen or princess. If the 20 Rooms and Suites in the Château are personified to this extent by female figures who left their mark on the continent over the past few centuries, it is indeed because not one of them resembles another. Mellow, shimmering, sophisticated, aristocratic… Each one expresses its unique character in the hours or days you may spend there. Spread out between the different wings of the Château and the neighbouring Cottage, they all benefit from unequalled quietness, some with a garden, terrace or balcony, and magnificent views of the park or courtyard of honour.
The Premium, Superior, Deluxe, Prestige and Imperial categories only exist as guidelines for guests. You can opt for a room of comfortable dimensions (about 30 sq.m) with a terrace at garden level, a discreet suite, a little larger (50 sq.m), or a room on two floors. It is all about taste, being at ease, and attention to detail. For families and get-togethers with friends, the Cottage provides the perfect setting. Three Deluxe Junior Suites complete the accommodation proposed, with appropriate amenities for parents accompanied by one or two children.
The Domaine Les Crayères approaches the interior decor of all its Rooms and Suites by giving priority to a classic French style adopted by very few hotels. Signed by interior architect Pierre-Yves Rochon, to whom we notably owe the atmospheres in the Prince de Galles and George V in Paris, the Savoy hotel in London and the Four Seasons in Megève, the presentation and decor of the Domaine are here the expression of ancestral know-how giving a place of honour to noble materials.
Drapes with patterns dipping into the archives of the past, Dedar velvet, embroidered fabrics by Lalière, Pierre Frey wall-coverings… Within these walls, the foremost names of today become simply sublime. Pierre-Yves Rochon's mastery also lies in knowing how to blend these hallmarks of elegance with precious furnishings. King-size canopy beds, dressing-tables with fine marquetry and Empire chests of drawers rub shoulders quite naturally with romantic paintings on the walls, clocks and bronze candelabra serving as bedside lamps.
As for bath and shower rooms, they throw further light, in their continuity, on this harmonious classicism offering, in particular, sumptuous marble.
Thus, in such a dazzling setting, staying at the Domaine Les Crayères can only mean divine relaxation. Beneath these high moulded ceilings, you discover well-being of sheer excellence. Marie-Liesse Mantsch, Accommodation Manager at the Domaine Les Crayères, knows how to spoil her guests… She has devoted real professionalism to the task for 35 years.
